My Story
Hi there! I'm Catherine, a fusion dancer based near London.
I have trained extensively in fusion belly dance, ITS (Improv Team Sync) and raqs sharqi. I perform these styles, along with burlesque (as my alter-ego Vulvarine), both in the UK and worldwide.

I am passionate teacher and I consistently try to challenge and inspire my students, while providing a safe and supportive environment. In addition to 10 years of dance teaching, I also have 15 years’ experience teaching English as a second language. I think it is vital to infuse all my classes and workshops with cutting edge pedagogy. I hold certifications in Zoe Jakes’ Dancecraft format and Amy Sigil’s ITS format.

I have also studied contemporary dance, Silvestre technique, Orixá dance movements, Global Caravan format, North African folkloric and Polynesian dances, as well as Muay Thai and other martial arts. I respectfully incorporate elements from my studies, blending them with innovative choreographic methods and a distinctive creative voice to create memorable group and solo performances. I am is also a founding member of fusion dance troupe Curious Verses, with whom I regularly host events in London.
